The 1 App I Can’t Live Without For Discord Server-Building (and Everything Else)

There are apps for everything and if you 🐿 out like me about software, you are incredibly attuned to any hint of the next Bright Shiny Object Which will Do All The Things.

One of my goals is to systematize the process of building Discord servers by capturing best practices chronologically from start to finish. I’ll admit, It’s kind of like wrestling spaghetti at the moment, but #lifegoals.

So when it comes to building servers and winning at life, there is 1 app I can’t live without:

@clickup*

Here’s just a tiny sampling of reasons why:

  • Reason 1: I can dump every random thought or piece of research I have in a space called GASP Brain Dump. Every Sunday night I go through my Brain Dump and move tasks into the appropriate lists (or trash–no judgment) and resources into their place. No more idea drain.
  • Reason 2: I can build a better process by updating a template with all of the tasks, sub-tasks and checklists that I run through as I build. The template is a living work-in-progress but I don’t lose my small improvements as I go.
  • Reason 3: ClickUp is perfect for separating my multiple pursuits into their customized silos but can be co-presented as if just one of me is doing all these things (TBC).

I could go on and on about why this app makes the most well-armed Swiss Army knife look like a caveperson’s club. And sure, many tools out there can likely do many to most of the same things, but I can squirrel out inside this app with all of the features just fine and not even be tempted to hunt around for “better” or “more”.

If you’re looking to capture and easily sort all of your ideas, formalize your small process improvements, or keep yourself straight when you have multiple curvy paths, I can’t recommend ClickUp enough.

What’s your weapon of choice for project management? I promise I won’t 🐿. 👇
